To successfully complete the steps to determine silver
contents, it is necessary to have:
Silver testing acids
First step: Place a drop of the silver
test acid solution on the piece
to be tested.
Reading the results: If the acid turns
into a light green color, then
the tested piece contents 65-75% silver. If the acid turns into a gray
color, then the tested object contents 77-90% silver. The acid that
turns into a creamy color shows the tested piece has 90-100% silver.
